Birds-Eye.Net Broadband Articles

Broadband articles as well as information technology articles have been published as editorials, opinions, or feature articles in leading broadband magazines or educational journals.

This all started when my 8 year old son wanted internet cafe business laptop.

You will need:

1 working Dell Latitude CPi secure internet security a Pentium II and at least 128 MB RAM
1 Linux DSL LiveCD
1 Cisco 350 Aironet Wireless PC Card
1 streamyx router setup thumb georgetown malaysia at least 256 MB

My compare high speed internet access came with a 13-inch screen, 128 MB memory, CD-ROM, hard drive penang malaysian AC adaptor and a working battery.

The laptop I got did not come with a hard drive.

When buying a used laptop online, make sure to ask if it will boot to toucan broadband BIOS. Knowing that it will boot to the BIOS is a good indication that the laptop is running properly.

Also, make sure that the BIOS are not locked with a password.

Linux DSL LiveCD is designed to boot from the CD-ROM and loads itself into RAM memory.

For a wireless Internet connection you will need a Wi-Fi PC Card.

Most laptops have a slot on the side of the machine for PC cards.

The USB thumb drive will be used for storing setup information.

The USB thumb drive is not required, but it will speed up the loading process.

If you have a working hard drive for your laptop, you can install Linux DSL on the hard drive.

Do not think of celcom broadband streamyx as a laptop that can do everything.

Think of it as laptop that will get you connected to the Internet.

This laptop is capable of running Windows XP. You will need a hard drive with at least 2 GB.

When it comes to memory, more is always better.
